Aditi’s mother moved her to New Delhi while her father stayed in Hyderabad, which led to a protracted legal battle for visitation and custody rights. Early in 2004, Hydari focused on Shringaram, her acting debut. finished. In October 2007, Sringaram made its limited theatrical debut to positive reviews. Her debut feature film was Prajapati, a Malayalam production. Based on her role in Shringaram, Mehra selected Hydari, who costarred alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. Hydari and Arunoday Singh costarred in Sudhir Mishra’s romantic movie Yeh Saali Zindagi in 2011.

When she was chosen to play Roshni in Vishesh Bhatt’s directorial debut Murder 3, which starred Randeep Hooda, she became a part of Mahesh Bhatt’s murder franchise in 2013. In the 2016 crime thriller Wazir, directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Hydari costarred alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. Hydari subsequently starred alongside Tabu, Katrina Kaif, and Aditya Roy Kapur in Abhishek Kapoor’s romantic movie Fitoor.

In 2017, Hydari made her feature film debut with Kaatru Veliyidai, her first film with director Mani Ratnam and her second in the Tamil language. 2018 was Aditi’s third working relationship with Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and her second with Mani Ratnam in Tamil film. Aditi’s mother, Shanta Rameshwar Rao, was also  the chairman of the publishing company Orient BlackSwan and the founder of Vidyaranya High School in Hyderabad. Vidya is the daughter of Raja J. Rameswara Rao, the last ruler of Wanaparthy. He also  ranked fourth among the nobles in the court of the Nizam of Hyderabad. One of the four largest feudal estates in Hyderabad State and the ancestor of her jagir, Wanaparthy, also  called “Maharaja” by its owners. Aditi, Aamir Khan’s ex-wife, is the cousin of Indian film producer, screenwriter, and director Kiran Rao.
